{"id":400,"date":"2012-07-10T15:33:00","date_gmt":"2012-07-10T15:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rollingdownmygarden.com\/?p=400"},"modified":"2022-06-16T12:29:15","modified_gmt":"2022-06-16T12:29:15","slug":"pear-chocolate-jam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rollingdownmygarden.com\/?p=400","title":{"rendered":"Pear &#038; Chocolate jam"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yesterday our neighbors&nbsp;brought us pears again so I&#8217;ve decided to make a pear and chocolate jam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the recipe:<br>1 &#8211; 1,5 kilos (35 ,2 oz &#8211; 52 ,8 oz) of summer pears<br>1 lemon<br>1 teaspoon of cinnamon<br>1 tablespoon of cacao<br>0,5 kilos ( 17,6 oz) of sugar<br>1 little bag of vanilla sugar (10gr)<br>one bag of dry pectin ( on them says for how much fruit is one bag, here one bag is for 1,5 kilos of fruit)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wash the pears and leave them in water for few minutes<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_8452916742934cec997d8a0f1e33663e~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_341%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_8452916742934cec997d8a0f1e33663e~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Cut them into small pieces removing all seeds and brownish parts( they will spoil the jam). Add a few spoons of sugar to the bowl and cook them till they get tender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_f827973c255c4b9ca76b2722ba3eb0be~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_f827973c255c4b9ca76b2722ba3eb0be~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Add lemon and dry pectin with the rest of the sugar ( that is the usual way to use pectin, but just in case check on the box how to use it)<br>Split pears into 2 equal parts and cook every part on low heat.<br>In one bowl add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and mix it with a mixer to make the pieces smaller. If you like jam with big pieces just stir the cinnamon and cook in for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_5362f8cc3a1c411395946314a4a52c90~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_5362f8cc3a1c411395946314a4a52c90~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In another bowl add 1 tablespoon of cacao and vanilla sugar, mix it and cook for 5 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_c51d46854c4745f686ba637109fb0e6a~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_309%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_c51d46854c4745f686ba637109fb0e6a~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While your jam is cooking wash jars and&nbsp;sterilize&nbsp;them ( 30 minutes on 100\u00b0C or 212F)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fill the hot jars with hot jam. I did it this way. One spoon of pear jam and one spoon of chocolate jam.Close the jars and leave them to cool down.
