So does my dog. And twice a day. So every day we take a mile walk so he could do his business. I take him in the morning and my dad in the afternoon. So today I decided to take some photos while we were walking to show you my village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our trip starts in front of our house where he yells at me for being too slow. Every day it&#8217;s the same thing. I put his harness on him and then he starts whining and hauling. He is so loud that one day somebody will think that I&#8217;m abusing him when the fact is that he is jumping on my back while I&#8217;m trying to put on my shoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_6e5c3c7abd824118bc35f756865bbaec~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_303%2Ch_404%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_6e5c3c7abd824118bc35f756865bbaec~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then he runs in front of me marking every single spot<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_fef7f949f5764d4c871265ad89d85c02~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_fef7f949f5764d4c871265ad89d85c02~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Until we get to the woods. He is a good dog in the woods. Maybe because he gets scared really easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_6063a00fb6d642659d525f5ae02b909b~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_6063a00fb6d642659d525f5ae02b909b~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here he doesn&#8217;t go far from me. He just spends his time searching for who knows what while I search for mushrooms, snail shells, interesting leaves&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_8af04f235fb944ac9243121064fec87b~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_8af04f235fb944ac9243121064fec87b~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>He even has a little bowl of water. Actually, it&#8217;s a tree stump that fills with water but he seems to like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_8fbb721812e64346af18147699b5f22a~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_8fbb721812e64346af18147699b5f22a~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>But like I said I&#8217;ll be talking about my village. Well, I live in a place that has around 300 villagers. It&#8217;s settled on hills( the highest one is 300m) and it&#8217;s around 3 km2 long. The capital city of Croatia(Zagreb) is only 20km from us so the number of people that live here is growing every day. It seems that more and more people like the silence and forests.<br>After Nero and I leave the forest we continue our walk on our road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_c077a81ad8a94117a8390f8d5b0f5b73~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_c077a81ad8a94117a8390f8d5b0f5b73~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;You will notice that there are no houses here. In most of the west part of the village where we take walks building is forbidden. The last 2 houses are our house and our neighbors. The only thing that can be built here is as we call them &#8220;vine houses.&#8221; Little wood houses that don&#8217;t have any water, electricity, or solid walls. Just a cabin with enough room for people to hide from storms when they are working in their fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The road is really steep but at least we have asphalt now. Until 2 years ago this was a dirt road and it was almost impossible to travel in winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_0b96cba62a554091bd56e89848538b3e~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_0b96cba62a554091bd56e89848538b3e~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When we get on top of the hill there is a big willow tree that marks the highest place. It&#8217;s been here since I was a little girl. And when you stand next to it you get the best view of the village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_9401c216519544cca8b3edd96de541da~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_303%2Ch_404%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_9401c216519544cca8b3edd96de541da~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember I said that my garden is inside the forest. Well, here it is. The little red dot is our house and the garden is under the house. You can see that it&#8217;s completely covered with trees. No wonder nothing grows like it should.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_bca84a83b6884bf7a1438c7248faabaf~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_bca84a83b6884bf7a1438c7248faabaf~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And here are more photos of all the forests that are around us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_9058ebfa539c4784a4b21a9d3ff33a1e~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_9058ebfa539c4784a4b21a9d3ff33a1e~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_b554555681fa44cab0a470528fb8f53b~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_b554555681fa44cab0a470528fb8f53b~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;On the other side of the willow tree is an old chapel that marks the end of our village and the spot where Nero and I turn around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/static.wixstatic.com\/media\/c75ea0_4d6d625a72804616b4c2002ba6cacb45~mv2.jpg\/v1\/fill\/w_402%2Ch_301%2Cal_c%2Clg_1%2Cq_80\/c75ea0_4d6d625a72804616b4c2002ba6cacb45~mv2.webp?ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And the reason is simple.. the first house in the next village has 2 huge dogs that bark like crazy when we walk in front of them so we don&#8217;t like to upset them.
