<\/span>The first half of March continued the trend of this winter. Weird warmth is still hitting us. I honestly can’t say when was the last time we had such nice and sunny weather in March. Daily temperatures are well over the average for the beginning of spring, everything is blooming and waking up from the winter sleep. I can say waking up too soon. Morning temperatures are still around freezing point and there are very good chances that this will be the year without any fruits in my garden. <\/span>

<\/a><\/div>\n


<\/span>Yesterday we had -2.5\u00b0C which is enough to damage some of the flowering trees and I can’t even begin to imagine what will happen if we have a weather change and a clear morning after this. This morning was a bit warmer but of course, this means an even warmer day. It’s 19\u00b0C right now and the temperature will still rise.<\/span>

<\/span>The weather is also affecting the flowers so now together with my tiny daffodils I have some tulips and hyacinths. This is really weird here because tulips never come this early, this year they are even earlier than the muscari which usually come right after snowdrops and primroses.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rainless period still continues, in the past 16 days, we only got 20mm which is a really really poor amount. Soil is very dry from the dry winter and if this continues for the first time in 20 years I will have to water the garden to begin spring sowing. Even worse is that the 5mm we got since the manure placing is not nearly enough to decompose it and I have a feeling my pelleted manure will stay as it is until the sowing period. <\/span>

<\/span>There are no bigger rain periods visible in the future so I have no idea how I’ll do my carrot and pea sowing. The only plus about this weather is that the heating bill will be almost non-existent. <\/span><\/p>\n
