After an adventure with the new plant<\/a> aka the orchid Keiki, <\/a>my orchid has been blooming like crazy. It grew 3 stems with dozens of wonderful flowers that were flowering for months. <\/span>

 And then out of nowhere, the plant started showing problems. All its leaves started cracking and since it was on the balcony I assumed that the balcony temperatures were too high for it. I did keep it in a semi-shaded place and it was in the sun only in the morning but still, I  assumed that the temperatures over 30\u00b0C were drying the plant too much. <\/span>

I’ve started watering them more often and moved it to a less sunny place and then I noticed that my leaves started rotting. The big new leaf first lost its color and then fell off leaving a nasty wound in the middle of the plant. <\/span>

So now I decided to move it back to the kitchen where I’ve kept it the whole last year. I’m not sure if this helped but I’ve noticed that one of the stems started forming a small new development. It’s still too small to see if it is a new branch or another Keiki. I’d prefer a new stem over a new Keiki because this way I’d be sure the plant is doing fine. I already have one baby plant that I’ve transplanted earlier and I wouldn’t want to lose this plant. <\/span>
