I can&#8217;t really remember when was the last time I had such big heads. I&#8217;ve always had problems with lettuce and the heat, but this lettuce doesn&#8217;t seem to mind the heat. I&#8217;ve harvested almost all the vegetable varieties that can be found in my garden. I&#8217;ve steamed kale, leek greens, chard and beans, chopped beet stems and cooked them for winter salad(I&#8217;ve made a fresh salad from beet leaves), chopped and froze chives, and made 4 jars of pickled vegetables. I&#8217;ve made whole peppers, pickles, fefferoni, and leek bulbs.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\">I&#8217;ve left my leeks too long in the garden and they formed a bulb, so I took off the green leaves and chopped the bulbs.
