 The past week I ordered a bunch of seeds and some plants online. The first delivery from “P\u0161eno” arrived a couple of days ago and yesterday I got my order from “Ku\u0107a biljaka”. A first I was really surprised by the size of the box in which my order arrived but when I opened it I was truly amazed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The plants were packed in a bunch of hay, tucked away in the middle so that they wouldn’t be damaged. And they really weren’t damaged. The plants were completely safe inside without a single damaged leaf. I have never gotten an order packed so well. All of my deliveries of plants are always packed well, but they do have some squished leaves and I was never surprised by it. When you order plants online you’re prepared for some damage. But “ku\u0107a biljaka” raised the bar on plant packing. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since I’ve never ordered any plants from them before(ordered only seeds) I wasn’t sure how they would arrive so I’ve ordered only plants that don’t mind being tumbled around. I got 2 wood sorrels and a bunch of sedums and ice plants. Sorrels are for front yard pots and sedums and ice plants for my garage roof garden which I plan to make. <\/span><\/div>\n

When all of my orders arrived I went on a sowing spree and I’ve sown all the vegetables and flowers I need for the autumn. <\/span><\/div>\n

Although the garden looks empty with blank spaces it is now officially full, there are no more empty beds. The vegetables I’ve sown in the containers will fill up the gaps between the existing plants. <\/span><\/div>\n

After direct sowing, I went to container sowing and I’ve sown everything I had to sow. I even had to sow the flowers to small pots and I will have to repot them as soon as they get two real leaves because of the lack of space.<\/span><\/div>\n

Together with the propagated sedums, new plants, earlier sown seedlings, and the new containers, the balcony is full. I actually can’t sow anything else before transplanting something to the garden because of the lack of space.<\/span><\/div>\n

I don’t really remember if I ever had so many sown varieties for autumn production. I have a feeling that only the very shaded part of the garden will be left to sleep during the winter. With everything I’ve sown at least 2\/3 of the garden will be full during the winter. Which could be a good thing if the winter won’t be too harsh. <\/span><\/p>\n
