I haven&#8217;t sown any of my zucchinis or pumpkins here, so I had no idea which plant it was. The vine is actually the Round beauty zucchini. I&#8217;ve sown them in the spring, but on the top of the garden. I have no idea how the seeds got here, could be the birds or the downpour we had in May that dug out the seeds and took them all the way to the bottom of the garden. Considering the position of the grown plant I think the second option is more likely. The plant grew exactly under the path that leads from the top bed where the plant was actually sown.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-gRpxtFFymTg\/YSY0HUA2ddI\/AAAAAAAAB8U\/xMXFPIkjRJgvrGWUlQsaJY3mL7RDnUUoQCLcBGAsYHQ\/s2048\/IMG_20210825_091557.jpg?ssl=1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"2048\" data-original-width=\"1536\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/-gRpxtFFymTg\/YSY0HUA2ddI\/AAAAAAAAB8U\/xMXFPIkjRJgvrGWUlQsaJY3mL7RDnUUoQCLcBGAsYHQ\/w480-h640\/IMG_20210825_091557.jpg?resize=480%2C640&#038;ssl=1\" width=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>This is actually the only zucchini that has fruits this year. Due to the bad weather, and severe drought we&#8217;re having, my zucchinis can&#8217;t form fruits. The plants bloom in millions of flowers, but none of them give fruits. This is the second year I have had no zucchinis. Last year the weather was too cold and this year too hot. Next year I&#8217;m thinking I will grow some zucchinis in the compost bags in the yard. Maybe they will give fruits.<\/p>\n<p>This zucchini is just starting but it&#8217;s a real question of how long it will survive. The last rain activated powdery mildew and it&#8217;s already covering most of the leaves.
