Flowers in August

Flowers bring color to our gardens. They break the green carpet of vegetables and bring joy to our beds and yards. August is the month when most of the flowers thrive and show their best suits.
The same is in my garden, our front yard is dressed in shades of purple, lavender, and red.

Petunias

carnation

Ipomea
Canna lily
Gladioli

The vegetable garden is home to more pretty flowers. There are fewer flowers than in past years, but they are still beautiful.

Sunflowers 2.5m tall

Strawflowers

New snapdragons

Cosmoses

Marigolds

There are even some weird combinations of flowers in the garden like the pepper-petunias. I have no idea how they ended up in the garden or how they got so close to peppers. Probably while I was sowing peppers. Still, they look really pretty and weird.

I’m hoping next year will be better and there will be some of my every year guests like Asters, Amaranths, carnations, and Ageratums.

I hoping next year will be better too, on more ways than just in the garden.
